other great inspiring random acts from colormekatie, redhongyiimproveverywherekerismith have long inspired me as i read there usually posts and decided why not do my part in making the community happier by little gestures that would put a smile on their faces? well, it doesnt have to be big things. everything have to start small right?

so, i started planning for my own smile project back a few months ago. and have started on my random acts of kindness. will post them up soon as i goes. here's a piktochart i made myself!

What is the Project About?

The Smile Project isn’t new, and nothing exceptionally big but its more encouraging towards little steps and gestures everyone could take to make the place we live in a little more positive and mainly about making someone’s day- Anyone’s day. Its base on the act of kindness concept, I am sure many have heard of it!

And some have done amazing gestures to the community! But as easy as it may sound, we tend to take it for granted and actions are in fact a lot harder than said. The society we live in now, kind of need this little gestures slowly it restores people’s perceptions and who knows open up hearts more easily.

I’m no big organization. I don’t need one, i just need everyone. because there is so much for an individual to contribute in the project with just simple everyday gestures. Everyone needs that little spark that puts a smile back and motivates us to move forward for great day. And I realize we need more of these little acts of kindness around. Period.

The project is to build awareness and in hopes to open minds, hearts and souls.
I will be blogging on the project with little gestures i did- anyone could do, encouraging everyone to take part whenever, wherever, whoever.

I admit im quite a pessismist and a person who’s always thinking on risks and what ifs this and this happens and which makes it stressful and vulnerable sometimes. See. When people makes my day with a candy.  Or a sticky note of encouragement. It pumps up a lot of happy pills.

The origin of this little project

Psst, I’ll tell you a secret, all my birthday candles where we make a birthday wishes.

Every since I knew about birthday wishes, back when I was really really young, let’s face it. we never really knew what we wanted for realz. The best would be some toys we really wanted. But I didn’t want to waste my birthday wish on toys. There were too many things I wanted and I am an indecisive child. I still am. So I generalized everything. I picked the best. That is,

"I wish for everyone around me, friends and family to be happy always. "
Or to be happy together.
Mainly cause I wanted to be a happy child with all I want.

Thinking about it, I have always used my birthday wish for everyone. Should’ve asked for a jackpot aye? But whether it was true that birthday wishes come true or not. I usually know deep down, every year at least I secretly know I was part of it. Whether or not it was happening? I can say generally everyone is happy, not always- but overall happy. As cliché as it may be, I kept it as an annual wish. Simple and good. Cause I had nothing I wanted in particular and no need think so many when the candles light up and I can take more pictures. HAAAHA

Believe it or not. And as I always end my prayers with ‘happy family, Amen’.. don’t ask why it ends with happy family. But I think we, all 3 siblings do that too. And I am glad. I indeed have a happy family I am still grateful and happy.

I now think it was my calling.
i'm trying out for Digi WOWWW Awards too!

little things can really make anybody's day. do your part in making a difference to the community. and have fun! it can be anything from thank yous to flowers to a random shop owner. the feeling of accomplishment, making someone's day is magical as you see wide smiles on people's face. somehow or rather it would make you happy too!

here are other random act of kindness ideas to get you started. (:
or your can come up with ideas that you can relate to!

just click for the labels,

graduation | goodbye UniMAP

i'm officially graduated. remember my previous post of how to survive post-graduate symptoms?
haahh. did everything i would have no regrets of. well, been busy with my future arrangements lately, grad prep, travels, and work. i can't believe its already September, and today is already the last day of September. haven't had the time to post alot for this month, -wake me up when September ends~

i went back to perlis early, for a personal walk down memory lane for remembrance. honestly, i'm going to miss the place. even if its not the best of the best. but i did learnt alot, be it as a student, as a person or a business consultant. it will be a new chapter in life.

grad day kinda marks everyone's last day as a degree student. it was a roller coaster ride indeeed. but i guess i could say, i did not regret. not even one bit to not proceed as a science major. BUSINESS STUDIES ARE WAYY MORE INTERESTING AND FUN. and look! i'm happy!
here's some tips on how i survive too!

well, enough of pictures of the special day. today's post is kinda dedicated to the guardians of my school that has helped me gone through my days in university.

  • a friend, lecturer, and a brother mr Fazlee. thank you for making me feel at home and support me in my industrial training to Japan. and for always having faith in my studies. pfft, in fact he's more confident with my grades than myself. you're the best bro!
  • one of the amazing lecturers i've met. mdm Tengku. trust me. i've never gotten the chance to attend her classes, but that one time asking her about a program, it magically changes everything, we suddenly became buddies. she's quite a role model i may say.
  • it was an honour, deputy dean. mdm Tunku. one of the best people i've known even it was only for my third year. she was always helpful and motivating. thank you for the tough and inconvenient days where i bug her for all my  matters.
  • my final year project guru, mr Rosli. thanks for all advice and guiding the lost puppy how had to start research methodology from scratch.
  • my university papa, life advisor, crazy gym boss, mr Raziff. thanks for those 'come on-' days and any random days.

it was a real honour to be awarded best Industrial Student too!
above all, I am glad I made my parents the two the best happy people proud for raising me up.
love you ma, & pa.

7 Things i learnt from University | How I survived it.

Here's some advises I think it should be useful for some of the newly enrolled students. Its new intakes again in Septembers. and it's time for me to say hello to working world soon.

Always find the right homies, someone who you'll be trusting and go all crazy with

yes. those years will be hard if you're lonely, or living in your own universe - then it will be hard to survive. who am i kidding! this is the real important one of all actually. cause its the one that keeps you moving! everyone needs atleast a friend/gang.

super grateful to have a few great people throughout my university days. life is a lot more complete that way, and remember, its okay to have a few. most of the time, through the years, you'd see who's the real friends that stick by your side, and some who are just well.. goes. i had my fair share of disappointment and realization. but..

The right assignment team to save you from hell

being in 3 years course. 6 semester was considered. how should i put this. there were times i think sleeping partners deserves so many slaps in their faces and that i think i have lost count puking blood out of insanity and have given up.

but atleast i had a few team members i could rely on. which we both shared burdens puking blood and wanting to slap sleeping partners. HAHAHAHA. so choose wisely. seriously - wisely. not because their your friends or because they are the cool kids, although i know its hard. BUT IF YOU COULDN'T REFUSE THE OFFER BY A SLACKER ( base on experience, cough )- get a reliable, responsible and strict person in the team as well to counter it. and indirectly kick them to work.

Go travel to nearby places as much as you can - utilize the perks

If you're lucky to be at a border of countries, like me. BY ALL MEANS. VISIT IT. This is one of the best perks i enjoy as a University student, we can run away for short escapes and see the world and be back for stress again the next days. See the world and enjoy the differences.

that little short getaway is amazing experience as you run away from stress and pressure.
well. just have fun!

Improvised skills in cooking. literally.

you'd learn to cook with an iron, a kettle and all sorts. IM KIDDING. but kettle is did in fact what we've tried once, to boil eggs. we were that desperate. due to no cooking policies in hostels for safety reasons. you'd also learn how to cook everything anything in a rice cooker too!

cause living by cafeteria food, we'd die. and be broke. while we can't feed ourselves daily with oat drinks and instant oats and anything instant. yes. cooking up something yourself with anything you find would be a skill you'd learn along up till graduation.

Realizing not everyone is what they seem to be.

its life. there will be fake masks around. but its okay, learn to get over it and move on. Well, its part of society to network, but you'd see alot of people. different types. and we grow through them. But hey, don't go rage mode just because they are fake. it's just how people are and as an advice, treat them as acquaintance and network. be nice and they will be nice- if they treat you badly, then just ignore i guess. NEVER STOOP DOWN TO THEIR LEVEL, THEY'LL KILL YOU WITH THAT THEIR BEST AT. a saying i held dearly to survive.

but generally, you'd see lazy people, snobbish people, 2-faces, and a lot more.
prepares you for life in the real world. so its okay. learning to identify is what you'd learn.

i learnt to be thrifty, to plan to do, and survive away from home. because flights are really expensive and it seems impossible to fly home for mid-semester breaks, i learnt to plan expenses to a minimum of RM300 a month, if i have leftover, i can use it for the next month or visit the most best places nearby!

being away from home, you'd learn to shake of homesick - call often. skype.
other than that, you'd develop soft skills to live alone and be responsible.

Have a Crush? Don't Just Stand There. Do something.

alot of my cousins told me most of the time we'd meet our 'the one' in Universities/College or where-ever you pursue in studying. because chances are, those are the people you'd see for 3-4 years and of the same generation or even share common interests. who knows? they could be the one. other than that would just be really FATE that you'd meet somewhere unexpected, like all the love stories we girls read alot about. HAAHAA bus stations/ cafes/ accidental incidents & etc.

cause I found mine in University, Oddly but strangely it happened. Now, i wonder if he's the one. :)

That's all!
i hope it helps! its more personal than it is. but hey, these tips might just be the ones you need to live your life more smoothly.
