Currently On-My-Face Skincare Routine | Day & Night #1

hey hey!
sharing a little on my current daily skincare routine, because I have emptied out my moisturizer and its time for a reveal and decision making to try out new set or to repurchase?

I used to be a lazy bum when it comes to skincare routine, ehem. I love sheet masks and I make sure I buy good cleansers. but when it comes to my after cleansing skincare - truth to be told, I am still looking for the best one yet and have just started being super religiously applying last year Q3 on and off of 2018 and really stick to it as a habit in 2019 - time to really catch up. Hoping from skincare brands to another, I can finally reveal, the skincare line that I felt, deemed worthy for a repurchase until I find a good recommendation.

My Skin Type : Overall Dry / Combination on T-Zones / Pigmentation
No-nos : Sticky after feels/ Creamy Textures

yeap, if you're reading this, you'd probably be like.. uh but dry skins need the creams for hydration - but if I don't like the creamy after feel. how? well, too bad? but I have found some acceptable texture that makes me smile whenever I smother my face with it!

here's the reveal!
DAYTIME ROUTINE

Cleanser - it's Skin Cleansing Foam- currently trying out the brand cause the fambam bought tons during our trip to Busan last year. Cleanses the face - okay. don't feel the wow effect for any repurchase yet. Honestly, I alternate days for morning washes with regular water rinse and cleanser wash so it won't be so dry.

Toner / Essence - The Body Shop - Vitamin E Essence Boost - super love this Essence Boost its like  ultimate favourite and must have for both my day and night skincare routine. Smells amazing too! 1 Bottle actually lasts quite long even for daily usage. so the price was worth it. I am down to my last few uses!

Essense/Ampoule - it's Skin VC Boost - I can use this Vitamin C on my day routine as researches said it doesn't go well is AHA/BHAs which was mainly my night routine. The booster was a bestseller for it's Skin's line. so far, i did noticed a decrease in my pigmentation, although not sure if it was because of my Body Shop Vitamin E Gel Moisture combo which I ran out earlier in January. But I got my second purchase! so we shall see if it really reduces pigmentation in a long run! honestly loe how affordable it is.

Moisturizer - Palmer's Skin Success Eventone Fade Cream Regular Day - because most of the time my concerns are my pigmentation. Heard much about the Palmer's brand. So far, noticed its suppose to be for oily skin type. The texture is quite creamy but it has a sketchy feel to my skin whenever applied. However, no breakouts or anything. so I'll continue using the tub.

Sunblock - Api'eu Waterlock - Been religiously putting on sunblock everyday now. because the regrets for my face have never felt so deep because I never liked to use sunblock because of the sticky texture. Ever since I finished my Vella Sun Essences, I couldn't find it anywhere to buy anymore. So I went back to being a complaining kid on sunblocks. Recently finished my Etude House Sunprise, but Api'eu's was quite acceptable during my Busan trip - so again, I bought a few to stock up.

Final - Althea Velvet Petal - The final step will have to be the velvety finish because after the sunblock, my face is usually dewy and sticky. So its a must for one light layer of the loose powder. it helps keep everything in take for the day too! You can read up a detail review for this holy grail final touch at the Althea Velvet Petal post!

AS FOR MAKEUP
I hardly uses any additional makeups - honestly its pretty bare. I use eyeliners and eyebrow linings with mild lip tinting/lipstick on an everyday basis.

NIGHTTIME ROUTINE

night routine, i go all out. which i used to be not much of a fan. but as we age, gotta really work on the maintenance. I am more lenient for sticky after-feel for night routine, because as much as i don't really like it, its still needed for my dry skin type.

Makeup Remover - Banilla.co Clean It Zero Original - yesss! i finished off my Silky Girl Gel Makeup remover. so it was finally time to use this super raved balm. Honestly, i didn't really like the feeling in the beginning because it felt super oily and uncomfortable as it melts my makeup off. people even say it works as a cleanser directly. I was dumbfounded because I honestly did not really like the put-on feel to it. BUT! with a rinse after this it is more acceptable. So i alternate with my cleanser now so it won't be too harsh on my skin. This baby works super good removing all ugly stuffs from the face even though it did not felt like it. A more detailed review coming up soon!

Cleanser - Za Wash - As mentioned, i like my face squeaky clean. but just found out recently if i over wash it would make it dry. so now, I try to alternate my cleansers because i have Banilla.co's Clean It Zero. unless i felt extra oily and sweaty that day, then I'd go for an extra cleanse.

Toner - Cosrx AHA/BHA Toner - been hearing alot of good feedbacks for this toner range and decided to try it out! SUPER LOVE the fact that it comes in A SPRAY instead of the usual drip out style. easily used and i think saves so much because i can control the amount that goes on the face.
+ The Body Shop Essence Boost after 20mins layering

** Sheet Masks - Random Sheet Masks I have purchased to give my face the pampering boost.

Essence - Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence - has been one of the must buy for the brand, so i gave it a go! it has a thick texture and smells like sugar water to be really honest, mild one. being 96% Snail secretion, I find it nothing near disgusting at all. so it was okayy, as for results - my skin did really feels more healthier, but just don't expect drastics changes.

Moisturizer - Cosrx Power Repair Hydration Cream - blogged about it in details, you can read out it. it's at its tip of emptying right now.  i will be on a hunt for a hydrating moisturizer again.

Add-ons - ID.AZ Firming Sleeping Pack - for the final fix to get my V-shape and burn fats for my double chin, i end it with the firming sleeping mask that i've reviewed earlier that i received from Butterfly Project. It's running low too! so far has quite an impressive effect to the face after a months usage. totally helped with my double chin cause i used it on my focused double chin area and jawline.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am no expert in skincare, and I don't have the perfect face. But other than my dark spots that i'm working on, I am safe to say I am happy with current Skincare routine! Every products have its own detailed first impression and review. feel free to check them out individually at the link of their respective product name. :)

Feel free to suggest some of your recommendations of Must-Haves on your face! and maybe some add-ons to mine as I notice people actually put in Essences for morning routines?
so I can switch around and find my holy grail.

until next magical day,

Lost & Found for the Forgetful with TAGLA | Tech Review

“Ma, have you seen my phone?”
“BBY! Can you check if my keys is in your car?”
“Where I parked the car ah?”
“EH! alamak – where I put my.."
Are the common reactions of yours truly. Being a clumsy – ‘big headed prawn’ me. I not only breaks stuffs, I lose stuffs quite often too! Thankfully it’s usually misplacing it somewhere at home or somewhere where I left off after using it. For a person who brings their phone to the toilet, to nap, to the kitchen – ehem! The potential location will surprise you sometimes – spoken from experiences here!

When I was in USA, I was introduce to such technology by my boss, Royal. It was so handy! But was also pricey during that time in USD $ somemore! As I heard we have our own, TAGLA in Malaysia! It was pretty happy to get to work with them on this post.

WHAT’s NEW WITH TAGLA v2?
TAG La is a Bluetooth tracker that not only tracks your items, but also can be used as a camera selfie remote! Currently, the company has sold over 70K of it's TAGLA trackers. With its own app, the lost items can simply be find by tapping the button in the app to ring the item. if you do not hear any BEEPING. then.. goodluck buddy!  fret not! can try the Community Search features to look for your lost item.

It comes in a round shaped piece, representing the time.
The latest TAGLA V2 round-shaped represents a clock, watch and serves as a daily reminder to treasure time and live our day efficiently.
Slim enough for slip-in wallets but big enough to know its existence.

Color available – Black, Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, and I chose White!
I was in a dilemma between black, white and yellow – but decided on white. Because girl. And keys gotta look abit girl abit. But Yellow really stands out well and black is perfect for guys. Especially if they are slipping it in their wallets – because they don’t usually lose their keys, but more to misplacing their wallets. Haha atleast I know that’s my boy.

THE APP INTERFACE
The app interface is quite user-friendly and very straight forward to use. As you have more TAGLA trackers you can set them up accordingly! not complicated at all and quite hassle free.

THE PRICE

it's RM79.9/one @ Above RM100 for FREE SHIPPING!

Friends Pack 3 For RM199.90 – NP:239.70 RM66.6/pcs
Family Pack 6 For RM 369.9 – NP:RM479.40 RM61.7/pcs

That's about RM20 OFF for family packs!

Now with TAGLA you can make sure everything is with you before you go out with – “ WAIT, LEMME CHECK IF I GOT BRING MY PASSPORT “ – Beeps. Safe – let’s go! and i'd probably be less of a clumsy forgetful person with this handy device.

Botanically Beautiful with YVES ROCHER Malaysia | Review

if you have read my Butterfly Birthday Party post, you would know that Yves Rocher was also celebrating their 60th Anniversary this year! Upon being seated at the party, we were all presented with Yves Rocher's 60th Anniversary Limited Edition Box! and inside are 3 star products to celebrate the lovely day together!

It's my first time trying out the brand I cannot believe myself - for not knowing about them before, to be honest, body care is quite basic for my family and we are so used to getting great deals off the drugstore that I never realize that there is so much we can do to reduce chemicals on our everyday usage. BUT EVEN THOUGH THEY MIGHT SOUND QUITE LUXURIOUS because they originated from France, but honestly if you do calculation and as i browse thru their online shop on Shopee, they are actually quite affordable! as you consider the effort they put in to make sure its :

SILICONE FREE
PARABEN FREE
COLORANT FREE
as the few common highlights!

I am very lucky that i don't have sensitive skin, so i guess i have survive chemicals thus far. but being somebody who would love to contribute to the environment and be part of the Zero-Waste community. This is really great effort to start!

so let's try out these lovely gifts!

I love their concentrated eco-shower gels that can sustain you up to 40 showers in a small 100ml bottle. As claimed, ONE drop is enough to wash your entire body! With this innovation means that everyone use less plastic for their bottles -  Since 2017, this product has saved 29 metric tonnes of plastic! at only RM27! I received their Olive Petit Grain bottle - with super legit olive scent! Although i'd prefer fruity scented body care, which gives me some curiosity to try out their Pomegranate Pink Berries, Mango Coriander scents! if you fancy floral - they have Lotus Flower, and Tiare Ylang Ylang.

THE PACKAGING is spot on! and perfectly travel friendly-i brought it to my outstation trips, and it fits nicely in my pouch. the bottle is also leak-proof with a sturdy cap. yes. no loose flipping. BEST OF ALL, i love the fact that it doesn't drip out just like that - my first use, i was curious how does the first drop work? like do i measure it when i turn it over? how do i make sure i don't over double-drop? you know what i mean?  the answer my friends, is a gentle squeeze! one gentle squeeze and you'll get a dollop just enough for the entire body! the shower gel does not come out if you flip it upside down.

THE SCENT is entirely olive scented. not overpowering and quite mild if you ask me. I came out the shower not smelling very obviously olive-fied. so it feels really raw and original to me, cause it just proves that they don't heavily focus on chemical fragrance.

THE TEXTURE was a bit weird in the beginning, cause im soo used to using liquid shower gels at home, where i'd pump quite an amount. Yves Rocher's concentrated shower gel was a little more light and watery at the texture, as you rub around your body it lathers quite well with extra water to balance out the concentration. again-was not very used to the not so foaming feel. but overall it was a clean and fresh feeling after shower!

The Hydra Vegetal range is quite known for its hydration benefits with quite an amount of possitive feedbacks and reviews online! packed with Edulis Cellular Water, it claims to moisturize dehydrated skin because the saps of the plant can survive harsh climates, keeping itself hydrated up to 48hrs.
so, sounds good for a dehydrated skin category me yes? we shall see..

THE PACKAGING is lovely with 25% less plastic on the tube, and the cap is probably the highlight here with the direct cap! which you dont need the whole screwing the cap on like the normal detachable caps. Leak-proof and its quite sturdy at the cap.the transparent blue is also nice to see their cleansing gel at its best true form and volume.

THE SCENT was not my favourite, it took me awhile to accept it because it smelled quite medicated and herby-like, similar to nail polish remover at one point, could it be the Blue Agave sap scent? but thankfully its only upon sniffing directly from the bottle and application, the scent will slowly be mild to nothing. Took me awhile to get used to it, but overall okay.

THE TEXTURE is watery gel, and washes quite well as it didn't leave any reaction to my face. although it did felt a little warm if you leave it on too long sometime. has the fresh feel after wash! Surprises me also that it doesn't have a foamy lather! i'd like if it foams more though.

Apart from the two above, the last product as part of the Butterfly Project Birthday Box was their Anti-Pollution Detox Micellar Shampoo! Micellar itself is term quite popular recently with alot of makeup removers and facial wash using it as part of their new ranges. Guess what? This was my most favourite product of the lot and I really REALLY liked how the after feel feels like to my hair and also to my hands as i wash it off! squeaky clean feeling approves! My hair also feel less oily and clumpy but i have yet to finish the whole bottle to fully declare my peasenthood to this potential-hair-holy-grail.

THE PACKAGING is more basic, but flat up and just nice for storage. Same leak-proof tight cap that needs quite a force to open it with a thumb. Plus points its a recyclable bottle. But as you pour, this one needs to be some what control and be careful as its not restricted like their concetrated shower gels.

THE SCENT most probably carries the Moringa scent that has a fresh and clean scent but florally enough to relax you! Again, no prominent scent after my hair is dried. but no complaints as long as its oil-free hair, i am very the happy!

THE TEXTURE is very watery, and i was quite surprise on my first try! it carries a gel-like texture but watery feel, so it was not thick, thats why to be careful as you use it. It lathers well and thank goodness still has the foaming feel that i prefer for my shampoo! decent amount of bubble/foam. but enough to make you feel your hair is really getting cleaned properly. and YES, i love he after feel when you rinse it off! CAUSE IT FEELS VERY CLEAN AND DETOXING. lol for both the hair and my hands.

AND YOU WANNA KNOW WHAT'S EVEN AMAZING FROM YOUR PURCHASE?
Purchase their 'I Love My Planet' products - concentrated shower gels & Eco labelled shampoos! and

Keep a lookout for this logo on their packaging, and you'd be happy to know you are helping the planet planting trees for the better environment! Please support the cause via their Foundation page and check out their super contribution towards the planet being one of the top brands that is really making stands to save our environment with eco-friendly products!

The Butterfly Project Malaysia 6th Birthday Party | #Butterflyturns6

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUTTERFLY PROJECT MALAYSIA!

Being part of the community, from the noobie caterpillar me, to- i guess - a growing butterfly me. The community has given me so much opportunity for my humble little blog, from a random daily diary to niche beauty/skincare. even as a person i met so much new people along the way.

when, they announced this year's birthday party.
THE HEART JUST SCREAMS YESSS!

as a east malaysian, its always sad to see so many great events happening on the west while our hearts screams we'd love to go - it usually comes with costs counting from flights to accommodations to living expenses. prior to the event, i was literally almost daily stalking AirAsia or any other airlines for the lowest rate to fly with Fay! it was then i decided i wanted to go and really meet the people whom i've been following and stalking pretty contents from.

Blessed that i manage to drag Fay along, and joined up with Myra for the party! really glad we took the plunge and went for our little staycation getaway. Get to reunite with my buttsie, Patricia at the party too. it was a nice experience for us to get along more closer and now the kk butterflies needs to grow bigger? don't you think so?
---------------------------------------------------------------------

In celebration for our lovely 6th birthday! the theme was Pastel Floral Garden! Imagine Flower crowns, Flower bouquets, Floral decor, Garden themed food & tea, Whimsical balloons and beautiful Butterflies dressed up in Pastel Floral outfits!

The setting and setup was so lovely, the location has a good share of sunlight - perfect for photos!
Can you imagine an indoor mini garden itself at the event space? They have it in Vilej Damansara. The space itself was beautifully decorated with white and pink balloons at the seating area, and impressive giant balloons at the 'Selfie Garden'! Giant balloons has dried flowers inside them to cater to the party theme! Cheers to the amazing balloons decor by The Blossom Balloons!

And what's a floral party theme without the real deal flowers right? YES, WE BUTTERFLIES LOVE OUR FLOWERS VERY MUCH! Also on the decor, the space was filled with floral decor everywhere! roses, baby's breaths, some daisies, chrysanthemums and my favourite Gerbera! The gorgeous fresh flowers were sponsored by Avant Garde Blooms!

Thank you Eros for this full on concentration mode photo of me.
Not only did they provided the floral decors for the overall look for the party, we also had a session where we made our own flower crowns! I had so much fun at this hands-on activity and was super excited to make my own crown. in fact! it was my favourite part of the party! although, please leave your wedding crowns to the professionals. haha it was not as easy as it looks! but everyone did a great job on their crowns!
---------------------------------------------------------------------

As we are seated at our table, the welcome gifts was so thoughtful! I have always love personalized gifts and handmade stuffs because there's so much effort, sincerity and heart in it! Hand-written name on my Yves Rocher Limited Edition 60th Birthday box, Specially made floral balloon selfie props by The Blossom Balloons, hand-drawn macarons by Macarons by Madeleine, thoughtful necklace from Tammy at Butterfly Project itself - Officially a butterfly now ya? So much heart put into all these lovely gifts. It was truly an honor to be able to receive these.

Joanne Kam Poh Poh! was the opening act for the birthday celebration after we blow out our butterfly cupcakes by Jom Party. Seeing her posters the first time before anything else on social media prior to the party already makes me look forward to her show - quirky, relatable, and hamsap. really enjoyed her jokes! I'll coming for your full stand up comedy show the next time i get a chance!

As we celebrate Butterfly Project's 6th Birthday, Yves Rocher is also celebrating their 60th year of committed beauty! with their #BOTANICALBEAUTY theme! That's 6 decade more for us to reach there! They are having an on-going promotion, so please stop-by their physical stores and show them my IG post to get your 50% off before 12th MAY 2019! There products packaging are so thoughtful to the current environment, really appreciate all the effort put into it to minimize plastic waste.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Not forgetting the final highlight for the party- FOOODD! Jom Party's foood spread! I shall let the photos speak for itself. It was so mesmerizing and the colour composition for the food spread was spot on! - artistic critic alert. but yes! not only does it looks good! it tastes good too! IF YOU ARE ORDERING FROM THEM, PLEASE INCLUDE THE TARTS! I love the tarts to bits! both chocolate and passion fruit/citrus version of it! Thank you for the amazing food Jom Party!

Served with super convenient tea drink station, T-Sticks team where there to introduce us handy to-go T-sticks. literally Tea - sticks. No Mess, No Drips, No Spoons. The infuser sticks were so interesting and convenient! they have 10 selection of teas too! we get to choose a flavour as part of the little gifts to bring home, and i choose the Fruity Forest Tea!

---------------------------------------------------------------------

To close to event, the Best Dress Goddess were announced!
Congratulations to the lovely Butterfly Goddess for the crown.

with an Honorary mention for Rawlins - I think he rocks every theme party he'll ever be.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

It was really nice to meet everyone in person, and to be in the same event hall with 100 bloggers/youtubers/content creators - butterflies to be more exact, who shares the same passion and interest really motivates and encourages me to blog and share more often. To the dedicated team, Mama-san Tammy, and the amazing team who have made all this possible, thank you so much for the hard work and dedication and passion you guys have put into this community!
